Bike to Bastille!

July 6th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

Head out, once again, to the Bishop Arts District on Thursday, July 14th from 6PM to 10PM where the block will be turned into a Parisian street festival, complete with mussels competition featuring renowned area chefs, a wine walk, Vespas, a French Maid relay, crepe stands, accordions, petanque courts, and more. Last year’s event brought over 1,500 people out and was marked as one of the greatest street festivals in the city.

The event is being held to celebrate Oak Cliff’s historic French settlers who attempted to create a “Utopian Community” in 1855 lead by Victor Considerant. For more details, head to bastilleonbishop.com
