Dallas Cycle Sunday planned for this weekend

June 20th, 2011 § 2 Comments

The city of Dallas is sponsoring its first Ciclovia inspired ride, dubbed “Dallasvias”.  Coordinators are planning a “meet-up” downtown at Main Street Garden Park at 10:00AM. At 10:30AM riders will loop around the downtown then head to the Dallas Complete Streets Kickoff/Better Block on Ross Avenue at approximately 11AM. With enough willing participants, Cycle Sunday will continue on to the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration.

  • Miss J. says:

I wish something like this would happen on a Saturday or at least not on Sunday *morning* so those of us who worship on Sunday morning can take part.

  • BFOC usually hosts it’s rides on Sunday afternoon around 1 or 2pm. The city of Dallas is starting it’s own Cycle Sunday rides. This one started earlier so it corresponded with an event that was starting at 11 am on Ross Ave. All Bike Friendly groups usually take into consideration your suggestion when planning their rides.
