BFOC Promoting Bike to School Week at Rosemont Elementary

November 5th, 2010 § 1 Comment

BFOC has started working closely with Rosemont Elementary school to promote bicycling for students. Starting on Monday (Nov. 8th), we’re kicking off a “Bike to School” week, where we’ll have a team of volunteers give cards to all of the kids who ride in to school. This week, kids have been busy designing posters and preparing for the week in preparation. Each day a child rides next week, they’ll receive a punch on their card…4 punches equal a bike prize. At the end of the week we’ll be leading a “Kiddical Mass” ride from the school to Eno’s for root beer floats. OC’s own Lisa Walter has designed a special “I BIKE Rosemont” shirt that will be available as well to all students for $10 which they’ll be able to wear instead of their uniforms on Friday “spirit days”. Stay tuned for more details!
