Bike to Bastille

July 7th, 2010 § 1 Comment

Head out to the Bishop Arts District on Wednesday, July 14th from 6PM to 10PM where the block will be turned into a Parisian street festival, complete with mussels competition featuring renowned area chefs, a wine walk, Go-Go Girls, Vespas, a French Maid relay, crepe stands and more. Go Oak Cliff is also trucking in 18 tons of crushed granite and sand in the street to create Petanque courts (French Bocce Ball). It should be an amazing night, with proceeds going to Alliance Francaise of Dallas.

The event is being held to celebrate Oak Cliff’s historic French settlers who attempted to create a “Utopian Community” in 1855 lead by Victor Considerant.
